In Tarot there are no right or wrong ways to spread the cards for your reading. Most Tarot readers develop their own spreads depending on the type of Tarot reading they wish to perform.

This Five Point Cross Tarot spread is the one I often choose to perform for my recipients. I find that this particular Tarot spread allows me to access more relevant information for the recipient.

Before starting this five point Tarot spread you must ensure all the Tarot cards are facing the same direction in the pack. The recipient is then asked to shuffle the Tarot cards. When the recipient feels they have shuffled the Tarot cards sufficiently for their Tarot reading, they are asked to cut the Tarot cards and place the bottom section onto the top. The Tarot reader then arranges the cards as in the diagram above.

The sequence for dealing the Tarot cards is:

Place one card bottom left, then bottom right, top left, top right and finally one in the middle. This forms the base for the rest of the Tarot cards to be dealt. Continue in this way until there are four Tarot cards on each pile.

The five points indicate different aspects of the Tarot reading:

1. Bottom left - the recipients strengths

2. Bottom right - the recipients weaknesses

3. Top left - the recipients past

4. Top right - the recipients present

5. Centre - the recipients future

As with all future predictions you must make sure the recipient is aware that they are intended as 'guidelines only'. Everybody has the power to change anything they do not like as regards to their lives. Being forewarned about future events can enable people to change the things the don't like, or ensure they don't miss the good opportunities that may come their way. Your future is entirely in your own hands.

Never the Master.
